DAY 4 – TASK 6
6-1

a- Web 2.0
“Web 2.0" refers to a perceived second generation of web development and design, that facilitates communication, secure information sharing, interoperability, and collaboration on the World Wide Web. Web 2.0 concepts have led to the development and evolution of web-based communities, hosted services, and applications such as social-networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, blogs, mashup and folksonomies”.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2.0#Definition
I think web 2.0

Web 2.0 tools: are the ways that communicate and collaborate between the students and the teacher by using many different tools to figure out the information’s easy any time any way together .
b- Web Quests

“A Web Quest is a learning activity used by educators. During this activity learners read, analyze, and synthesize information using the World Wide Web. Web quests were invented by Bernie Dodge and Tom March at San Diego State University in 1995.”
According to Dodge's original publication a WebQuest is "an inquiry-oriented activity in which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from resources on the internet, optionally supplemented with videoconferencing"
(Dodge, 1995a; Dodge, 1995b)..... http://webquest.sdsu.edu/about_webquests.html 12 November 2007.

Task 6.2
How to Plan a WebQuest
"WebQuests can be fun for students and easy to implement in the classroom, but creating one takes careful planning and preparation."

"WebQuests are a way to integrate technology and problem based learning. Though there are many already available online for use, teachers can also create their own. There are many things to consider before setting out to create a WebQuest, including relevance to the curriculum, guidance needed by the students and how to assess the results". a- Introduction
This web quest for (IGCSE ) STUDENT ‘S GRADE 8 – in Sudan , it prepare them for final examinations , the topic is ( Mathematics: Multiplication of Polynomials ) , I use for this lesson (ppt) and excel quiz , sound, video , animation and graphics from many sources . At the end of the lesson students must be able to
1- Find the product of two polynomial s
2- Multiplying more than tow polynomials
3- To distinguish between polynomials and algebra equation
b- Task
The problems to be solved in this lesson that (how to find multiplying of polynomials) to multiply every term in first bracket with all terms in the other brackets.
For this step I using (video, sound, graphics, and text) and word quiz from many different sources.

c- Process

“-what steps should the learners go through?
1- Use the numbered list format in my web editor to automatically number the steps in the procedure.
2- Learners will access the on-line resources that I ve identified as they go through the Process.
3- have a set of links that everyone looks at as a way of developing background information, or not.
4- provide some guidance on how to organize the information gathered. This advice could suggestions to use flowcharts, summary tables, concept maps, or other organizing structures.” [1]

d- Evaluation

To evaluate students I using:
- Word quiz
- Power point
- And expert review

e- Conclusion

Finally students and researchers may search for information in many other webs, like this ,and work hard to establish more web quest .

DAY 1- task 2 and task 3 (learning &learning theories)

2.1 What Does "Learning" Mean?
"To most of us, "learning" means an attempt to create a memory that lasts. Mastering new dance steps, learning foreign languages, or remembering acquaintances' names require our brains to encode and store new information until we need it. "http://www.nwlink.com/~Donclark/hrd/bloom.html

2.2 a- Behaviorism
"is a worldview that assumes a learner is essentially passive, responding to environmental stimuli. The learner starts off as a clean slate (Behaviorism precedes the cognitivist worldview. It rejects structuralism and is an extension of Logical Positivism". http://www.nwlink.com/~Donclark/hrd/bloom.html

b- Cognitivism

"Cognitivism focuses on the inner mental activities – opening the “black box” of the human mind is valuable and necessary for understanding how people learn. Mental processes such as thinking, memory, knowing, and problem-solving need to be explored. Knowledge can be seen as schema or symbolic mental constructions. Learning is defined as change in a learner’s schemata." http://www.nwlink.com/~Donclark/hrd/bloom.html

c- Constructivism
"Constructivism assumes that all knowledge is constructed from the learner’s previous knowledge, regardless of how one is taught. Thus, even listening to a lecture involves active attempts to construct new knowledge". http://www.nwlink.com/~Donclark/hrd/bloom.html
2-3 BLOOM TAXONOMY.

http://www.nwlink.com/~Donclark/hrd/bloom.html

3-1 Multiplying terms of algebra

At the end of the lesson students able to
-find the product of two terms
- compare between adding and multiplying of algebra terms.
- understanding multiplying of the coefficients with another coefficients and variables.

in this lesson I need to used:
- Many computers
- Projector multimedia
- White smart screen (2*2m2) at least
- Ms ppt , excel ,word
3.2 I beginning the lesson by warm up student and refresh their mind to be ready to understand what’s new.
3-3- How to add two terms?

- What kind of variables we use to add it?
- Explain Distinguish between algebra equation and algebra expression?
- Ask them for previous lesson output.
- Find ( x + 2 ) + ( 2x – 5)
- ( 2y – 55) – ( 3y + 44 )
- Undirected ask them some thing that in their daily life and have relation with our new lesson aims.
- If 5 shirts coast 25 pounds what 13 shirts coast?
- If a kilo of tomato’s coast 3 pound and a kilo of vegetables coast 5 pounds what 4 kilo of tomato’s and 10 kilo of vegetables’ coast
-After I sure that they on the order road I beginning my lesson with present anew information on the screen and ask them to figure out the new rules and its relations with the previous lesson.
According to my questions “student’s activities: on their computers.
- Figure out the rules of the lesson which they need to solve problems.
- Use the anew rules in different anew examples.
- Find the relation between variables in the lesson.
3.4 at the end of the lesson I give them excel quiz to assess where the defect of wrong answer to correct them.
- 3-4 ifor a assess i Give them homework to solve at home and return next day to check it for them.

( x – 3 ) ( x + 5 ) = x*x + x*5 – 3*x -3*5

= x2 + 5x -3x -15
X2+ (5x-3x) – 15
Therefore (x-3)(x+5) = X2 +2x -15
